📋 Description

• The Director, Medical Science Liaison Pain, US role at Viatris Inc. is a field-based position responsible for engaging with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in the pain management therapeutic area to provide scientific and medical information in a non-promotional, evidence-based manner.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and executing stakeholder engagement plans, documenting HCP interactions in VEEVA, responding to unsolicited medical requests, gathering and communicating KOL insights, developing medical education materials, staffing congress booths, and providing internal training on products and disease states using approved materials.
• Viatris is a global healthcare company that combines generics and brand expertise to deliver high-quality medicines to approximately 1 billion patients annually, with a mission to empower healthier lives across all stages of life, supported by recognition on multiple award lists for corporate impact.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical industry; advanced degree (MD) highly preferred
• Required experience in Pain Management and knowledge of US MSL roles, clinical trials, SOPs, Federal/State promotional laws, PhRMA Code, ACCME Standards, and Viatris Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
• Ability to communicate effectively, build collaborative relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups, with strong analytic and organizational skills for interpreting and presenting clinical data
• Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehension, reading, writing) and willingness to travel 50%-80% of the time, including overnight and weekend stays
• Demonstrated personal accountability, goal-setting, adaptability to change, and commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) principles
