- • As the Director of Nursing & Respiratory Operations at Stepful, you will lead the strategic development, operational execution, and scalable growth of nursing and respiratory programs, directly contributing to the company’s mission of expanding access to high-demand healthcare careers for underserved populations. This role is pivotal in transforming Stepful’s educational offerings into a national talent pipeline that partners with major healthcare employers like CVS, NY-Presbyterian, and Walgreens to address critical workforce shortages.
- • You will own the end-to-end delivery of nursing programs, including curriculum alignment, instructional quality, student support systems, and regulatory compliance, while pioneering innovative experiments to boost enrollment, retention, and scalability—targeting 10x growth in active students through data-driven iteration and AI-supported learning models.
- • You will lead the integration and in-person operations of an acquired nursing college, spearheading the transition to hybrid and remote delivery models while maintaining accreditation standards and enhancing student outcomes through virtual simulations, online teaching platforms, and immersive learning technologies.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Curriculum, Policy, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure programs meet rigorous accreditation benchmarks, deliver exceptional student experiences, and generate measurable impact for healthcare provider clients seeking qualified talent pipelines.
- • You will build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Program Directors, instructors, and coordinators, fostering a culture of ownership, rapid learning, and collaborative problem-solving aligned with Stepful’s core values: Care first, Learn quickly, Build together, and Own it.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in healthcare education operations, gain hands-on experience scaling EdTech programs in a high-growth startup environment, and develop leadership skills in influencing stakeholders across clinical, academic, product, and business functions—positioning you to drive systemic change in healthcare workforce development at scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of progressive experience in operational leadership, preferably within a high-growth startup, EdTech, or healthcare education environment
- • Proven ability to design, execute, and scale educational programs with a focus on student outcomes, enrollment growth, and retention through data-informed experimentation
- • Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority, including clinicians, program directors, instructors, and product teams
- • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with experience using data to break down complex operational challenges and drive iterative improvements
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences including executives, regulators, and frontline staff
