- • The Director of Advisor Services is a senior leadership role responsible for driving advisor team growth, operational excellence, and client outcomes across the Great Lakes Region, serving as a trusted consultant and general manager for assigned advisor teams while partnering with Advisor Leads and cross-functional Practice Management Team specialists to translate firm strategy into advisor-level results.
- • This remote position requires a strong organic growth mindset, end-to-end ownership of growth, people, operations, and execution, and the ability to influence without direct authority to support advisor teams in achieving sustained performance and regional engagement.
- • Day to day, the Director will serve as the primary relationship leader and strategic business partner for advisor teams in the Great Lakes Region, building trust-based relationships with Advisor Leads through regular, structured engagement and acting as the 'Voice of the Advisor' to share regional feedback and insights with corporate leadership.
- • The role involves partnering with Advisor Leads on roundtables and advisory committees to surface regional trends, risks, and opportunities, while coaching advisors on networking, prospecting, and closing skills to improve opportunity conversion and holding teams accountable to business plans, growth goals, and performance metrics.
- • The Director will operate as a general manager for assigned advisor teams—owning growth outcomes, execution discipline, and overall practice health—by facilitating the development and execution of advisor team business plans, developing and monitoring key business metrics, and evaluating practice workflows to recommend improvements for increased efficiency and scalability.
- • They will leverage PMT specialists (Growth, Marketing, Portfolio, Operations, Tax, Insurance) to support execution and client retention, promote adoption of best practices and centralized processes, and support annual regional budgeting and performance monitoring against plan.
- • In advisor and team development, the Director will provide consultative leadership and coaching to Advisor Leads through regular one-on-one engagement, help build strong, collaborative, high-performing teams, assess skill levels, and partner with mentors and corporate teams to deliver training and development while supporting succession planning and career progression.
- • The role includes supporting corporate program implementation and change management by rolling out firmwide initiatives across technology, marketing, operations, compliance, finance, and HR, helping Advisor Leads understand and implement new programs, coordinating training completion and technology adoption, and reinforcing marketing strategies while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
- • The Director will partner with Finance on budgeting, variance management, and fiscal discipline, and support HR initiatives including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and manager development.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, finance, or a related field
- • Minimum of 10 years of experience in wealth management advisory practices
- • Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- • Demonstrated organic growth orientation with a track record of driving results within advisor teams
- • Proven ability to think and act like a general manager, balancing growth, people, operations, and financial outcomes
- • Strong understanding of wealth management operations with expertise in at least two of the following: financial planning, client acquisition/organic growth, marketing, practice management, business operations, or project/change management
- • Demonstrated success influencing and leading without direct positional authority
- • Excellent communication, relationship building, and presentation skills
- • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- • Ability to support a multi-state Great Lakes Region with up to 20% travel
- • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) and insurance licenses preferred for hybrid office roles
- • CFP designation or equivalent experience preferred
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Tamarac, and/or Orion preferred
