This role is pivotal in amplifying our brand across every touchpoint, ensuring our message of accessible mental wellness resonates with both commercial and consumer audiences.
  • • As the Head of Brand Marketing, you will be instrumental in defining, stewarding, and amplifying the Tava Health brand. This senior leadership position requires a creative and strategic thinker who excels at the intersection of compelling storytelling, impactful design, and effective go-to-market execution. You will have end-to-end ownership of the brand experience, from its core identity to its perception in the market. Your responsibilities will span developing and implementing a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with Tava Health's vision, business objectives, and competitive landscape. This includes defining the brand's future direction, establishing measurable goals, and creating a roadmap to achieve them.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves owning the evolution of Tava Health's corporate identity. This encompasses the logo, color systems, typography, iconography, and all visual standards, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's essence and appeal to the target audience throughout its growth phases. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining a cohesive messaging architecture that clearly articulates the company's value proposition, key differentiators, and overarching narrative across all audiences, channels, and use cases. This includes evolving the brand's voice and tone guidelines to ensure consistent and authentic communication in all written and verbal content, ranging from marketing copy and customer emails to webinars, partner collateral, pitch decks, thought leadership pieces, press releases, and executive communications.
  • • Furthermore, you will lead the research and development of detailed buyer, user, and audience personas, ensuring that all brand and marketing initiatives are deeply informed by a thorough understanding of the target audience and their motivations. In close partnership with the Product, Sales, and Customer Service teams, you will develop positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for new products, services, and features. This involves translating complex capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that drive awareness and adoption among customers, partners, providers, and clients.
  • • The role also entails building a robust thought leadership program designed to position Tava Health's executives, subject matter experts, and the brand itself as authoritative voices within the industry. You will own the editorial strategy for bylines, speaking engagements, podcasts, webinars, and owned content channels, leveraging Public Relations to establish the brand as a leader in a competitive marketplace. This includes utilizing both long- and short-form content to activate the brand and accelerate the adoption and utilization of Tava Health's commercial, provider, and consumer products and services.
  • • You will oversee the Public Relations strategy and manage agency relationships, driving proactive media coverage, handling reactive communications, and ensuring a consistent brand narrative across all earned media. Cultivating strong relationships with key journalists, analysts, and industry influencers will be crucial. Leading the in-house design function responsible for all brand, marketing, sales, and service creative—including campaign assets, digital content, sales collateral, product marketing materials, advertising media, pitch decks, and internal communications—is another core responsibility. You will champion design quality and creative excellence throughout the organization.
  • • Finally, you will own the strategy and execution of Tava Health's event presence, from flagship owned events to participation in third-party conferences and industry summits, ensuring every event touchpoint delivers a premium, on-brand experience that fosters community and drives pipeline. You will also oversee the gathering of competitive intelligence and industry insights to inform the company’s investment strategy and roadmap.
  • • This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing, where you will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the brand is consistently compelling and impactful.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10-15 years of brand, marketing, or communications experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • • Proven track record of building and scaling brand functions at high-growth B2B, B2B2C, or B2C companies.
  • • Deep expertise in brand strategy, identity, and storytelling, with a strong creative sensibility.
  • • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams (design, content marketing, product marketing, brand management).
  • • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — you are a storyteller at your core.
  • • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the C-suite level and across the organization.
  • • Data-informed approach to brand building, with experience measuring brand health, awareness, equity, and the quantitative impact of brand marketing investments (e.g., on conversion rate and close rate).
  • • Experience hiring/managing agency and contractor relationships (creative, PR, events, WebDev).
  • • A collaborative, low-ego leadership style with a bias for action.
  • • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the mental healthcare industry and/or marketing to commercial healthcare organizations, employers, patients, or providers. Background in or deep appreciation for design and visual craft. Experience building content and thought leadership programs with measurable results. Startup or scale-up experience where you've had to do more with less.
