  • • We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Data Partnerships to spearhead the creation and expansion of a groundbreaking data-licensing business. This pivotal role is designed for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives on building something from the ground up, taking ownership of the entire commercial lifecycle of our proprietary financial and business data. You will be instrumental in identifying unmet market needs, strategically shaping our data products, devising innovative pricing models, and driving the acquisition of new, high-value business partnerships.
  • • As the principal ambassador for our data offerings, your primary objective will be to cultivate and nurture robust relationships with a diverse range of businesses that depend on accurate, timely, and insightful financial intelligence to fuel their own growth and decision-making processes. This is a unique opportunity to define and execute a commercial strategy that unlocks the immense value of our unique datasets.
  • • Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, this position demands a dynamic blend of strategic foresight, deep product understanding, and hands-on sales execution. You will be at the forefront of translating complex data assets into tangible commercial opportunities, ensuring our data solutions meet and exceed market expectations.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with various internal teams. You will work hand-in-hand with our Data, Engineering, and Legal departments to ensure our data products are not only packaged effectively and delivered in the precise formats our customers require but are also strategically positioned for sustained, long-term growth and market leadership.
  • • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Develop and meticulously execute the comprehensive commercial strategy for monetizing the company's proprietary financial and business data assets, establishing clear revenue targets and growth trajectories.
  • • Proactively evaluate and identify opportunities for new, high-value data assets or datasets that the company should consider collecting, developing, and productizing to expand our market offering.
  • • Systematically identify, prospect, and secure new data-licensing partnerships with key enterprise-level buyers, building a strong and sustainable client base.
  • • Design and implement sophisticated data packaging strategies, including defining product tiers, specifying optimal delivery formats (e.g., API, bulk data, scheduled feeds), and establishing flexible access models to cater to diverse customer needs.
  • • Define and refine data pricing strategies, grounded in thorough market demand analysis, competitive intelligence, and a clear understanding of the value delivered to our customers.
  • • Act as the crucial liaison between commercial needs and technical execution, partnering closely with internal technical teams to clearly communicate customer requirements, precise data specifications, and essential delivery standards.
  • • Build, maintain, and actively manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients, owning the entire sales cycle from initial outreach and qualification through to successful contract execution and onboarding.
  • • Collaborate effectively with Legal and Finance departments to structure complex deals, negotiate favorable contract terms, and ensure strict adherence to all data usage guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • • Continuously monitor evolving market trends, competitor offerings, and relevant regulatory developments to proactively inform and adapt both product strategy and commercial approaches.
  • • Establish and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms and key performance metrics to rigorously track revenue growth, operational efficiency, and overall business line performance.
  • • Champion the data licensing business internally, fostering a data-driven culture and ensuring alignment across all relevant departments.
