đź“‹ Description
- • As Director of Field Sales at Alternative Payments Ltd., you will own the in-person event strategy and execution across the MSP industry, driving revenue by building systems, coaching account executives, and generating qualified pipeline through conferences, trade shows, and executive events. This role is critical to closing the loop on money movement for SMBs and establishing Alternative Payments as a leader in financial operating systems for service-based businesses.
- • Day to day, you will plan and execute event strategies including booth selling, stage presentations, executive dinners, and hallway conversations; coach AEs in real-time at events and debrief afterward; build pre- and post-event outreach and follow-up systems; experiment with new event formats; and track ROI through pipeline generated, meetings booked, and deals influenced.
- • You will join a fast-growing, global team at Alternative Payments, a company building the financial operating system for SMBs by consolidating disconnected tech stacks. Starting with MSPs and expanding into accounts payable and AI-powered analytics, the company values diverse perspectives, deep collaboration, and customer impact, with a culture rooted in transparency, resourcefulness, partnership, boldness, and accountability.
- • In this role, you will develop into a leader who can scale a repeatable conference sales playbook, build a trusted personal network within the MSP community that generates warm introductions and referrals, and directly influence revenue through measurable event ROI — all while mentoring junior sellers to become independent conference representatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–10 years of B2B SaaS or fintech sales experience with significant in-person and field selling background
- • Proven experience working conferences, trade shows, and executive events — not just attending, but executing booth sales, stage presentations (50–500 people), and relationship-building activities
- • Demonstrated ability to build relationships that convert to pipeline, where prospects take meetings based on prior in-person interactions
- • Experience coaching or mentoring junior sellers on in-person selling skills, either formally or informally
- • Working knowledge of Salesforce for pipeline tracking and event-based opportunity management
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary tailored to experience, with total compensation range of $160,000 – $195,000 CAD (OTE) plus equity
- • Unlimited PTO and flexibility to support work-life balance when needed most
- • Yearly learning & development stipend to support professional growth and skill development
- • Equity opportunities to share in the company’s growth and long-term success
- • Opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives in a scaling FinTech startup shaping the future of business payments
