- • As Director of Finance reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial operations of Simply Protein Inc., ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and managing accounting and treasury functions to support strategic decision-making and long-term financial health.
- • You will lead and mentor the accounting team in delivering timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial statements, including monthly close, variance analysis, and financial reporting packages, while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- • You will drive continuous process improvement initiatives across accounting, treasury, and financial planning functions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, leveraging technology and automation where appropriate.
- • You will oversee treasury operations including cash management, banking relationships, foreign exchange (if applicable), and short-term investments to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk.
- • You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders in operations, supply chain, sales, and marketing to provide financial insights that inform pricing, cost management, capital allocation, and growth strategy decisions.
- • You will ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, preparing for audits and supporting external auditors with complete documentation and clear explanations.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- • 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or director-level role overseeing accounting teams
- • Proven expertise in GAAP financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls (SOX or similar), and treasury management
- • Experience leading finance functions in consumer packaged goods (CPG), food & beverage, or pet care industries is highly advantageous
- • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) tools; strong Excel modeling skills required
- • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with non-finance executives and cross-functional teams
