- • As the Manager, Finance, APAC at Airwallex, you will be a pivotal member of the APAC Finance team, taking full ownership of financial control and reporting for entities across the Asia-Pacific region. Your work will directly support the accuracy, compliance, and scalability of Airwallex’s global financial operations, ensuring adherence to local audit, tax, and regulatory requirements while enabling strategic growth initiatives.
- • You will own and drive the monthly financial reporting cycle, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet and P&L reviews, and liaison with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions. This includes leading financial statement audits and tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and advisors to resolve complex issues, and maintaining rigorous internal controls across APAC entities.
- • You will lead and execute process improvement projects for the Controllership team, such as enabling new products in financial reporting structures, standardizing global finance processes, and driving operational efficiencies to scale the function as Airwallex expands. These initiatives will position you as a financial architect for inorganic growth, including M&A support and regulatory licensing efforts to expand Airwallex’s footprint in the region.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, business, treasury, and operations teams to provide financial advisory on new product developments, department-wide projects, and change management efforts, ensuring financial insights are embedded into strategic decision-making across the organization.
- • You will operate in a high-impact, fast-paced environment where your expertise in local accounting standards (with US GAAP as a plus) and fintech regulatory landscapes will be critical. Your ability to manage complex, cross-border projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will be key to success.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of finance experience, with Big Four experience considered advantageous
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and practical application; understanding of US GAAP is advantageous
- • Proven experience in a financial controlling role with a track record of building and expanding controllership capabilities
- • Experience managing complex, local or international projects focused on process improvement initiatives
- • Strong communicator with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
