• • MyPlanAdvocate LLC, a high-growth lead-generating marketing company specializing in Medicare and Auto Insurance, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to spearhead our financial operations. We are at a pivotal stage of scaling, driving inbound call and click-based traffic through sophisticated paid search, social media, YouTube, and affiliate partnerships. This role is instrumental in building a robust, scalable financial foundation that underpins our continued growth, demanding both entrepreneurial agility and unwavering financial rigor.
• • As the Director of Finance, you will assume comprehensive ownership of the company's day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning. This position is central to establishing and enhancing discipline across critical areas including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and in-depth financial analysis. You will work in close partnership with the VP of Finance and the executive leadership team, acting as a key advisor and strategic partner.
• • This role offers a unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data while implementing efficient processes that avoid unnecessary bureaucracy. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to make informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and achieve sustainable growth.
• • **Financial Operations & Controls:**
• • You will own the end-to-end monthly close process, collaborating closely with both internal accounting resources and external accounting partners to guarantee accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• • A key responsibility will be strengthening our internal financial controls, refining reconciliation processes, and ensuring comprehensive documentation is maintained for all financial activities.
• • You will meticulously manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), vendor payments, and customer invoicing processes, ensuring smooth and efficient cash flow cycles.
• • **Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Business Partnering:**
• • You will be tasked with building and maintaining sophisticated financial models to accurately forecast revenue, gross margin, and cash flow, providing a clear financial roadmap for the company.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves partnering closely with our media and operations teams to conduct rigorous analysis of Return on Investment (ROI) for paid traffic campaigns, identifying opportunities to optimize spend and maximize marketing effectiveness.
• • You will champion a data-driven approach, leveraging data science insights to provide rigorous, analytical support to all business functions.
• • Developing and delivering insightful financial reports that provide actionable intelligence to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors will be a core duty.
• • You will play a crucial role in supporting working capital management, particularly in optimizing the timing between media spend and receivable collections.
• • **Strategic Finance:**
• • You will provide critical support to the VP of Finance in developing scenario modeling, preparing comprehensive board materials, and fulfilling lender reporting requirements.
• • You will drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and conduct thorough variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgeted figures.
• • You will contribute to the evaluation of potential growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and the financial viability of new business lines.
• • **Team & Systems Management:**
• • You will manage and mentor a small but growing finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• • You will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to our finance systems and processes, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and meet compliance requirements, including SOC 2 alignment where necessary.
• • You will foster strong cross-functional partnerships with the General Manager (GM), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Product Officer (CPO), and external stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment between financial strategies and operational execution.
