Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead day-to-day accounting operations for a global SaaS marketplace, managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end close activities with precision and scalability.
- • Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 for multi-year SaaS subscriptions, usage-based billing, and marketplace transaction fees, maintaining strict compliance and audit readiness.
- • Monitor, analyze, and report on critical SaaS financial metrics including ARR, MRR, net revenue retention, billings, deferred revenue, CAC payback, LTV:CAC ratio, and Rule of 40 to inform strategic decisions.
- • Spearhead digital transformation initiatives by automating manual finance processes using cloud-based systems, API integrations, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-enabled tools for invoice processing, reconciliations, and anomaly detection.
- • Implement intelligent automation solutions such as machine learning models for transaction categorization, predictive cash flow analytics, churn risk identification, and automated financial close preparation.
- • Design and deploy exception-based workflows that reduce manual touchpoints while improving speed, accuracy, and scalability across the financial close cycle.
- • Integrate financial systems with CRM, billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Zuora, Chargebee), payment gateways, and marketplace infrastructure to enable real-time data flow and operational visibility.
- • Evaluate, pilot, and scale emerging fintech solutions including AI copilots, autonomous accounting platforms, and natural language processing tools for contract extraction and financial analysis.
- • Build standardized, repeatable accounting workflows optimized for a high-velocity SaaS environment with distributed global teams and multi-sided revenue streams.
- • Develop real-time dashboards and operational metrics to track close progress, subscription cohort performance, cash conversion cycles, and process bottlenecks.
- • Document and continuously improve finance processes to support rapid scaling without proportional headcount increases, embracing the SaaS efficiency mandate of "do more with less."
- • Foster a data-driven, technology-enabled finance culture that treats technology as a strategic enabler rather than a back-office function.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and sales teams to align financial systems with business growth initiatives and ensure seamless data synchronization.
- • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial data across the subscription lifecycle management process.
- • Provide actionable insights into unit economics, cohort performance, and marketplace health metrics to support executive decision-making and investor reporting.
- • Lead organizational change management during system migrations, process overhauls, and cultural shifts toward digital-first finance operations.
- • Support IPO readiness and Series B+ scaling efforts by building scalable, audit-compliant finance infrastructure for a subscription-based business model.
- • Own the digital transformation roadmap for the finance organization with full autonomy to modernize systems, processes, and culture across a global SaaS platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of progressive accounting operations experience, including at least 2 years in a SaaS, subscription-based, or high-growth technology company with ARR business models
- • Deep understanding of SaaS financial metrics (ARR, MRR, net revenue retention, CAC payback, LTV:CAC ratio, Rule of 40) and subscription revenue recognition under ASC 606
- • Proven track record leading digital transformation initiatives in finance, including automation platforms, cloud ERP migration (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct), and API-driven system integrations
- • Hands-on experience with billing platforms (Stripe, Zuora, Chargebee) and automation tools (Zapier, Workato, UiPath) and AI-enabled finance tools (predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, automated reconciliations)
- • Strong technical fluency with data analysis tools (Excel/Google Sheets advanced functions, SQL basics, BI platforms like Tableau or Looker) and ability to collaborate with engineering teams
- • Demonstrated ability to redesign legacy manual processes into scalable, technology-driven workflows that support hypergrowth without linear headcount expansion
🏖️ Benefits
- • Own the digital transformation roadmap for a global SaaS finance organization with full autonomy to modernize systems, processes, and culture
- • High-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to senior leadership with influence over strategic decision-making and company-wide initiatives
