- • Window Nation, a leading home improvement company specializing in window and door replacements, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our dynamic team in Fulton, MD. This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about shaping the financial future of a fast-growing consumer services business. As the Director of FP&A, you will be instrumental in leading our financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis efforts, directly partnering with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the executive leadership team to drive profitable growth and operational excellence.
- • In this high-impact position, you will be the strategic financial architect, responsible for building and refining an FP&A function that delivers critical, actionable insights. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining a robust forecasting process that accurately predicts financial outcomes and supports strategic decision-making. You will play a crucial role in translating complex financial data into clear, concise, and meaningful strategies that guide the company’s trajectory.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to developing comprehensive financial models to support strategic initiatives, including new market entry, product development, and operational efficiency improvements. You will conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying key drivers of performance and recommending corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded. This includes analyzing sales performance, marketing ROI, operational costs, and profitability by channel, product line, and geographic region.
- • A key aspect of this role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and IT. You will work hand-in-hand with these departments to understand their financial needs, provide analytical support, and ensure alignment with overall company objectives. This collaborative approach is essential for transforming raw data into impactful business strategies that foster sustainable growth.
- • You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors. These reports will not only highlight financial performance but also provide forward-looking insights and strategic recommendations. You will also play a key role in the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to develop realistic and challenging budgets that align with the company’s strategic goals.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA) or CPA/CMA designation is a plus.
- • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a consumer services, retail, or home improvement industry.
- • Proven track record of building and leading FP&A functions, including developing robust forecasting models, budgeting processes, and financial reporting frameworks.
- • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
