đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the full marketing function for Citizen, the #1 safety app in the U.S., overseeing strategy and execution across consumer and enterprise channels, reporting directly to the CFO.
- • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product features, city expansions, and product moments, coordinating paid, organic, press, and cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption.
- • Own paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads, including budget allocation, creative testing frameworks, optimization cadence, and cross-channel attribution with agency support.
- • Build and scale the enterprise marketing engine by developing positioning, messaging, sales collateral, and campaigns that shorten sales cycles, increase win rates, and establish Citizen Enterprise as the category leader in real-time safety intelligence.
- • Manage the Creator Program, which generates 13M video views per month (10% of total monthly watch time), including billing, payment systems, relationship management, quality tracking, and content strategy to improve in-app experience and Week-1 retention.
- • Design and maintain AI-powered marketing workflows using tools like Claude, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, and HubSpot to automate creative variants, real-time content monitoring, competitive intelligence, and creator communications.
- • Operate with the standard that AI runs the execution layer while humans lead strategy—pushing forward AI adoption, not just maintaining current workflows.
- • Drive initiatives to acquire new users, resurrect lapsed users, and support cross-functional priorities including partnerships, rebrands, research sprints, and new channel experimentation.
- • Serve as the marketing lead on strategic partnerships and co-marketing deals, identifying distribution opportunities and coordinating with enterprise sales, product, and legal teams.
- • Produce high-impact written content across formats: social captions, sales one-pagers, executive briefs, and campaign messaging with strong visual and creative instincts.
- • Monitor real-time news cycles and cultural moments to align Citizen’s storytelling with current events and public safety trends.
- • Manage a small, fast-moving marketing team with clear accountability for outcomes, knowing when to delegate and when to dive into execution details.
- • Track and report on campaign performance with a data-driven mindset, defining success metrics upfront, monitoring in real time, and explaining outcomes with clarity and context.
- • Support brand initiatives including rebrands and messaging updates, ensuring consistency across consumer and enterprise touchpoints.
- • Maintain a hybrid work environment with weekly in-office presence at NYC HQ, including access to catered lunches.
🎯 Requirements

- • Experience managing both consumer and enterprise marketing functions
- • Strong visual and creative instincts with ability to give direction on design and video content
