- • As the Director of Product, Platform at NimbleRx Inc., you will be at the forefront of shaping the technological backbone that powers our mission to simplify healthcare access, understanding, and management. This pivotal role reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is instrumental in defining and executing the strategy for our core product platform. You will be the visionary architect behind the 'lego blocks' that enable every product experience team, functional department, and external partner at NimbleRx to build and innovate rapidly and effectively.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to lead and drive platform initiatives, ensuring they set the pace and quality for all product development across the company. This involves deep customer discovery, meticulous product strategy formulation, and flawless execution to achieve tangible, successful outcomes. You will operate as a hands-on 'combat leader,' directly engaging with customers, analyzing data, clarifying strategic intent, setting ambitious goals, planning execution with precision, and ultimately being accountable for the results.
- • This role demands a proactive and collaborative approach, working closely with leaders across various functions, including Data, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Customer Success. You will be granted full context and responsibility, fostering a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of our platform with every facet of the business. You will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our CTO and CEO, gaining invaluable insights from our founders.
- • You will be responsible for nurturing and leading a small, highly effective team of Product Managers, typically numbering between three to five individuals. This is an opportunity to mentor and guide talented individuals, fostering their growth and ensuring the team's collective success. If your aspiration is to manage a large team, this specific role may not be the ideal fit.
- • The platform you will oversee is critical to NimbleRx's ability to scale and innovate. It encompasses the foundational technologies, APIs, and services that enable our patient-facing applications, our pharmacy operations tools, and our integrations with external partners. Your strategic direction will directly impact the speed at which new features can be launched, the reliability of our services, and the overall developer experience for those building on our platform.
- • Key areas of focus will include identifying and prioritizing platform needs based on market trends, customer feedback, and internal stakeholder requirements. You will translate these needs into a clear, actionable product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching business objectives. This includes championing best practices in product development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the platform remains robust, scalable, and secure.
- • You will be a key advocate for the platform internally, educating teams on its capabilities and potential. Externally, you will represent NimbleRx's platform vision to partners and stakeholders, potentially influencing strategic alliances and integrations. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be crucial.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare technology landscape, including regulatory requirements, data privacy, and the unique challenges of building solutions in this space. You will need to balance the needs of internal development teams with the requirements of external partners and the ultimate end-users – patients and pharmacists.
- • Success in this role will be measured by the platform's adoption and impact on development velocity, the quality and reliability of services built upon it, and the satisfaction of both internal and external users. You will be empowered to make significant decisions, drive innovation, and leave a lasting legacy on how NimbleRx delivers healthcare technology.
- • This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week at our Redwood City HQ, offering a blend of focused individual work and collaborative team engagement. 🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in product management or engineering, with a significant focus on product and/or developer platforms.
- • Prior engineering experience at a Staff, Principal, or equivalent level is highly desired, providing a strong technical foundation.
- • Demonstrated success in building and scaling large-scale consumer product platforms.
- • Experience in one or more of the following areas is relevant and helpful: consumer engagement, payment/commerce platforms, data/ML/AI platforms, security, and compliance.
- • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including responsibilities for hiring, coaching, and performance management.
