- • As the Director of Regulatory Management at AgLoan, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's integrity and ensuring robust compliance with an ever-evolving landscape of financial regulations. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a national financial system dedicated to supporting agriculture, the backbone of our food, clothing, and fuel industries.
- • You will be instrumental in directing the enterprise’s strategic response to emerging regulatory requirements, meticulously managing remediation initiatives, and expertly coordinating regulatory examinations. Your primary objective will be to ensure AgLoan remains fully compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and supervisory guidance. This involves proactively monitoring regulatory changes, clearly communicating their potential impacts across the organization, and leading the charge in responding to regulatory inquiries and findings.
- • This role is situated within the Second Line of Responsibility Compliance Department, a critical function that collaborates closely with senior leadership, First-Line of Responsibility Compliance Managers, and various cross-functional teams. Together, you will proactively identify and address compliance risks, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ultimately protect the organization's reputation and operational integrity.
- • Your responsibilities will span across several key pillars of the Compliance & Ethics Program, including Compliance, Standards of Conduct, Whistleblower, and the overarching Regulatory Management Program.
- • In the realm of Regulatory Change Management, you will be tasked with monitoring the dynamic regulatory environment to identify emerging developments and topics. You will leverage established compliance frameworks and processes to inform business units and functional teams, ensuring they are prepared for upcoming changes.
- • You will implement and maintain robust processes for documenting, tracking, and updating information on emerging regulatory issues and rulemaking activities, creating a comprehensive and accessible knowledge base.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve designing and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to quantitatively assess the impact of regulatory changes on the organization, providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
- • You will conduct thorough assessments of the implications of new laws, regulations, and supervisory guidance, translating complex regulatory language into actionable insights and recommending appropriate responses to relevant stakeholders.
- • Regarding Regulatory Remediation Management, you will manage centralized remediation processes, ensuring that the organization's response to supervisory priorities is both timely and effective.
- • You will diligently monitor the progress of remediation efforts, tracking them against key regulatory and supervisory priorities to ensure accountability and timely resolution.
- • You will be responsible for aggregating remediation information, preparing comprehensive reports for Compliance Management to present progress and findings to the Board of Directors and senior management.
- • You will collaborate closely with teams to prioritize and address supervisory concerns that may pose risks to the enterprise, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring their successful implementation.
- • Your role will ensure the timely remediation, completion, and ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of adherence.
- • You will proactively escalate and report key themes and findings derived from regulatory matters, examination results, and remediation efforts across the entire organization, fostering transparency and collective awareness.
- • In the area of Regulatory Examination Management, you will provide crucial assistance in the coordination of regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
- • You will maintain a central repository for all regulatory contacts and meticulously document all interactions with regulatory bodies, creating a historical record for reference and accountability.
- • You will assist in managing strategic communications with regulators, ensuring that all interactions are properly documented and strictly aligned with organizational guidelines and policies.
- • You will proactively monitor and escalate significant issues that have cross-functional impact, ensuring organization-wide awareness and coordinated response efforts.
- • You will also assist in fostering an open dialogue with regulators, sharing leading practices, and helping to define standards for responding to examination results and findings.
- • Beyond these core areas, you will attend the Association’s Geopolitical Risk Committee, a subcommittee of the Governance and Risk Committee, and contribute to developing appropriate agendas, reports, and information as directed.
- • You will perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Head of Compliance, Ethics & Regulatory Management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's overall success.
- • This position reports to the Executive Head of Compliance, Ethics & Regulatory Management and will provide guidance to business units, cross-functional teams, and external consultants as needed. You may also direct project teams and Compliance Quality Assurance Analysts assigned to specific compliance initiatives, demonstrating leadership and mentorship capabilities.
