- • The Director of Sales, United States Navy (USN) at Motorola Solutions leads strategic sales initiatives for Silvus Technologies’ advanced MIMO-MANET communications systems within the U.S. Navy market, directly contributing to national security by enabling secure, reliable, and high-bandwidth tactical connectivity for military operations.
- • This role is pivotal in expanding Motorola Solutions’ footprint in defense markets by driving revenue growth through targeted engagement with Navy procurement stakeholders, leveraging deep domain expertise in military acquisition processes and cutting-edge tactical communications technology.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include directing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, managing customer relationships across key Navy commands (ONR, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVSUP, NAVFAC, NIWC), and identifying new program opportunities aligned with Silvus’ MIMO solutions.
- • The incumbent will actively participate in industry trade shows, defense conferences, and customer events to generate leads, demonstrate product capabilities, and strengthen partnerships with military and contractor stakeholders.
- • A core function involves maintaining rigorous pipeline management by consistently updating CRM systems with forecasted opportunities, setting and achieving annual new business targets, and ensuring alignment with corporate sales objectives.
- • The role demands continuous market awareness, including monitoring competitor activity, evolving Navy requirements, and emerging trends in C2, C5ISR, electronic warfare (EW), and SIGINT applications to refine positioning and value proposition.
- • Success requires deep product mastery of Silvus’ MIMO-MANET radios—understanding their self-healing, self-forming mesh capabilities, video and data transmission strengths, and applicability across line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight environments—to effectively articulate technical benefits to both technical and acquisition-focused audiences.
- • The Director will foster a customer-centric culture by promptly addressing stakeholder concerns, integrating feedback into solution positioning, and ensuring post-sale satisfaction to support long-term contract renewals and follow-on opportunities.
- • Travel is required up to 50% of the time to engage with Navy installations, defense contractors, and government facilities across the United States, with flexibility based on mission needs and customer engagement cycles.
- • The role offers significant professional growth through leadership of complex defense sales campaigns, exposure to high-stakes federal procurement processes, and the opportunity to influence technology adoption in critical national security programs.
- • Working within Motorola Solutions’ mission-driven culture, the incumbent will contribute to a safer future by enabling resilient communications for military personnel, first responders, and critical infrastructure—directly supporting the company’s vision of building safer communities and nations.
🎯 Requirements

- • Prior U.S. Department of Defense military service with demonstrated progression in responsibility and leadership roles throughout tenure.
- • Active SECRET-level U.S. Government security clearance OR ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire; U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
- • Proven expertise in U.S. Navy procurement processes, including deep familiarity with ONR, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVSUP, NAVFAC, NIWC, and associated PEO/PM structures.
- • Substantial experience in military C2, C5ISR, electronic warfare (EW), or SIGINT applications, with strong understanding of tactical communications challenges and solutions in austere environments.
- • Demonstrated success leading all phases of business capture, including whitepaper development, RFI/RFP responses, proposal management, teaming arrangements, and strategic positioning for defense contracts.
