📋 Description

• Own FluidStack’s global physical security program end to end, including standards, policies, roadmap, and execution across a growing multi-site, multi-jurisdiction portfolio.
• Architect and govern Enterprise Security Systems (ESS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Video Management Systems (VMS) deployments across both greenfield builds and operational data center sites.
• Lead the buildout of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and partner closely with cyber-physical and detection engineering teams to integrate physical and digital security controls.
• Collaborate with construction and site teams from pre-RFS through operations to embed security requirements into facility design and build processes.
• Manage and govern vendor relationships with guard force providers, systems integrators, and technology vendors, including negotiation of MSAs and SOWs and ongoing performance oversight.
• Own physical security control evidence for compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and customer-specific security schedules, and directly interface with customer security teams during audits, site inspections, and due diligence.
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments, threat and vulnerability reviews, and drive remediation plans for identified risks across all physical infrastructure.
• Perform hands-on security operations tasks including deployment support, vendor walk-throughs, alert resolution, and video system verification.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership and external customer security teams, communicating complex security posture and risk mitigation strategies clearly and concisely.
• Travel 30 to 40% to FluidStack offices and data center sites to conduct on-site assessments, oversee deployments, and ensure operational compliance.
• Build a physical security program from scratch for frontier AI infrastructure, where the protection of model weights and compute assets is critical to the future of human freedom and technological sovereignty.
• Operate with full autonomy and high ownership, often extending beyond core responsibilities to ensure rapid, scalable, and secure infrastructure deployment.
• Apply first-principles thinking to challenge conventional security paradigms and design systems that scale with gigawatt-level compute infrastructure.
• Maintain deep technical familiarity with enterprise security platforms including Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, or equivalents, and actively contribute to security design drawings and construction documentation.
• Ensure physical security systems are tightly integrated with cyber defenses, recognizing that the threat surface is measured in gigawatts and breaches represent existential risks to AI advancement.

🎯 Requirements

• Built or run physical security programs for data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale industrial facilities at scale
• Stood up a physical security program from early stage, managing both data center and corporate security environments
• Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise ESS, ACS, and VMS platforms (e.g., Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon)
• Managed guard force vendors and systems integrators across multi-site environments with strong contract governance
• Experience with GSOC operations including alarm management, tooling integration, and escalation protocols
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with executive leadership and customer security teams, with willingness to travel 30–40%
