- ⢠As the sole People & Culture leader at FutureFit AI, you will drive the full employee lifecycle in a high-growth, mission-driven organization focused on reducing economic inequality through AI-powered workforce developmentâyour work will directly impact how underserved populations access better jobs faster and more affordably.
- ⢠You will own and scale all People functions including talent acquisition, compliance, employee experience, performance management, and compensation strategy, operating with high autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced, high-trust environment where your initiatives will shape culture and organizational effectiveness.
- ⢠You will partner closely with leadership to design and implement equitable total rewards, manager enablement programs, and data-informed People policies that support both business growth and employee well-being across U.S. and Canadian teams.
- ⢠You will build and refine scalable HR processesâfrom ATS optimization to payroll administrationâwhile championing inclusive practices and ensuring legal compliance in a bootstrapped, venture-backed startup navigating rapid growth.
- ⢠You will lead cultural initiatives such as offsites, All Hands meetings, and recognition programs, using pulse survey data to continuously improve engagement and belonging, while modeling the companyâs core principles of curiosity, ownership, and speed.
- ⢠You will develop and coach managers through structured enablement programs, equipping them to give effective feedback, conduct fair evaluations, and support team developmentâamplifying your impact through leadership multiplication.
- ⢠You will gain deep exposure to strategic HR operations in a mission-aligned tech company, building expertise in cross-border compliance, startup-scale People systems, and AI-augmented HR practicesâpositioning you as a versatile People leader ready for broader organizational impact.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠5+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR, or related roles, with proven ownership of end-to-end People functions in high-growth, early-stage startups (Series A/B preferred)
- ⢠Demonstrated expertise in compensation and benefits administration, payroll management, and HR compliance across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions
- ⢠Strong track record in talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, ATS management (e.g., Ashby, Rippling), and training hiring managers in equitable evaluation practices
- ⢠Experience designing and executing employee experience initiatives, performance management cycles, and manager enablement programs using data from pulse surveys and feedback loops
- ⢠Excellent communication, influence, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential HR matters with discretion and build trust across all levels of the organization

- ⢠Competitive base salary range of $125,000â$150,000, reflecting experience and impact
- ⢠Opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Canada (ET time zone) with optional hybrid access to the Toronto office at 325 Front St West
