Director, Product Management, Governance (Identity & Auth)

📋 Description

• • Own the multi-year product vision for identity, authentication, and access governance across UiPath’s agentic platform, defining how human and non-human identities (agents, robots) are provisioned, scoped, delegated, attested, rotated, and revoked.
• • Design and evolve the authorization model for tool-calling and Model Call Protocol (MCP) auth, enforcing scoped consent, least-privilege execution, and audit trails that meet stringent compliance requirements from regulated enterprises.
• • Partner directly with top-tier regulated customers in financial services, healthcare, and public sector to deploy governance solutions in production, identifying specific control failures and driving actionable fixes based on real-world usage.
• • Act as a builder on the platform: self-host agents, wire up authentication flows, and use coding agents to prototype and ship reference implementations—building working demos to validate concepts rather than relying on specs or decks.
• • Translate emerging industry standards—such as delegated OAuth for agents, verifiable credentials, MCP auth, and policy engines like OPA/Cedar—into a coherent, shipping product roadmap for UiPath’s governance stack.
• • Define and own key governance metrics including time-to-grant, audit coverage, policy violations detected, and developer friction, using data to ruthlessly prioritize features that drive enterprise trust and adoption.
• • Represent UiPath’s governance narrative externally to customers, partners, and industry forums, building credibility with CISOs and compliance leaders through technically precise, compelling demonstrations and position papers.
• • Establish the foundational patterns for agent-to-agent authentication, just-in-time privilege elevation, sandboxing, and policy-as-code for tool access, shaping how the entire UiPath platform evolves to support autonomous systems.
• • Operate with high agency: avoid status meetings; instead, spend time deep in the product—testing auth flows, prototyping with agents, interviewing customers and field engineers—and turning insights into clear engineering direction.
• • Influence product outcomes through technical authority and execution, not headcount; drive alignment across engineering, security, and field teams using clear communication, technical demos, and first-principles reasoning.
• • Work comfortably in regulated, on-prem, and hybrid environments, ensuring governance controls are robust enough for enterprise compliance without introducing friction that causes builders to bypass them.
• • Maintain a builder posture: write code or prompt AI agents to test hypotheses, ship prototypes, and validate assumptions before scaling—treating automation tools as core leverage in product development.
• • Contribute to UiPath’s AI-native product culture by anticipating how identity and access paradigms must evolve to support autonomous agents in the next 24 months, backed by concrete examples and evidence.
