- • Leads the development and delivery of National University’s externally facing research, evaluation, and advisory services to advance institutional priorities and community impact.
- • Collaborates with external clients and community partners to understand needs and design tailored research, evaluation, or advisory solutions.
- • Develops scopes of work, proposals, and engagement strategies for professional services offerings.
- • Provides oversight across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of work products and adherence to contractual obligations.
- • Coordinates internal faculty, staff, and student contributors to execute project deliverables and maintain resource alignment.
- • Tracks expenditures, staffing costs, and contribution margins to ensure financial sustainability of service offerings.
- • Monitors contract performance, resource utilization, and delivery risks to proactively address potential issues.
- • Builds and maintains strong, trusted relationships with external clients and partners to foster long-term collaboration and expansion of opportunities.
- • Serves as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor across all client engagements.
- • Contributes to the strategic growth and sustainability of the professional services portfolio by identifying new revenue streams, market opportunities, and partnership avenues.
- • Provides input into the positioning, branding, and long-term development of the service delivery model.
- • Works collaboratively across university departments to leverage internal talent and support project execution.
- • Recruits, coaches, and develops internal contributors including faculty and staff to ensure quality and scalability of service delivery.
- • Fosters a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and learning among internal teams and external collaborators.
- • Applies strong command of research design, program evaluation models, and both quantitative and qualitative methods in real-world contexts.
- • Synthesizes complex data and communicates technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- • Demonstrates sound judgment and strategic insight to guide client decision-making and project direction.
- • Manages multiple priorities effectively while maintaining responsiveness, reliability, and a solutions-focused approach.
- • Understands financial drivers, pricing logic, and cost modeling to support data-informed, sustainable recommendations.
- • Identifies opportunities to enhance processes, scalability, and efficiency in service delivery.
- • Demonstrates maturity, tact, and strong interpersonal skills in sensitive or high-stakes situations.
- • Performs other duties as assigned, including up to 20% travel for client meetings and stakeholder engagements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree required in a relevant field; Doctoral degree preferred
- • Eight plus (8+) years of experience in professional research, evaluation, and consulting
- • Demonstrated experience in scoping, proposal development, and client negotiations
- • Proven ability to manage multi-project portfolios
- • Supervisory or team leadership experience in applied or project-based environments
- • Experience within the higher-education industry preferred
