đź“‹ Description

  • • As the Director Project Control for DSL-01, a pivotal part of SkyNRG's mission, you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of Europe’s first dedicated Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant located in Delfzijl, Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to lead the Project Controls team and act as the financial guardian of this landmark, capital-intensive project, ensuring its ambitious goals are met with disciplined and predictable execution.
  • • You will assume accountability for the comprehensive scope of project cost control. This includes meticulously overseeing the LSTK (Lump Sum Turn Key) execution by the main engineering contractor, managing third-party utility connections, controlling owner's costs, and administering supporting contracts. Your role is critical in providing senior leadership with crystal-clear insights into budget performance, accurate forecasts to completion, diligent contingency usage, and a thorough understanding of the project's risk exposure.
  • • Leveraging rigorous financial analysis, you will provide strategic advice to senior management on the financial implications of project progress and recommend necessary corrective actions to maintain financial health and project viability. Your expertise will be the bedrock upon which sound financial decisions are made.
  • • A key responsibility will be to establish and continuously enhance robust cost control procedures. This involves defining and implementing stringent reporting standards, developing comprehensive KPI (Key Performance Indicator) frameworks, and employing effective benchmarking methodologies to ensure best practices are consistently applied. You will be the champion of financial discipline and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • • You will confidently and substantively challenge contractor variation claims, employing your deep understanding of project financials and contractual obligations. Furthermore, you will lead quantitative risk analyses to identify potential financial exposures and ensure that cost-related mitigation strategies are actively developed, implemented, and managed to safeguard the project's financial objectives.
  • • In close collaboration with project lenders, financiers, and other key stakeholders, you will oversee the provision of transparent and reliable cost reporting. This critical function enables timely funding decisions, fosters trust, and ensures that all parties are kept fully informed of the project's financial status at the highest level.
  • • Beyond the immediate needs of DSL-01, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a project control framework that will serve as the benchmark for all future SkyNRG projects. This forward-thinking approach ensures scalability and consistency across the organization's growth.
  • • This role demands exceptional strategic judgment, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor within a complex, capital-intensive industrial environment. You will be at the forefront of a project that is not only technically challenging but also environmentally significant.
  • • As part of the DSL-01 project, you will contribute to building a state-of-the-art industrial plant from the ground up. This facility will produce 100,000 tonnes of SAF and 35,000 tonnes of sustainable by-products annually, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Your role in managing the financial aspects of this pioneering venture will directly contribute to a truly sustainable energy future.
  • • You will be part of a dynamic and innovative environment where technical curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork are highly valued. You will collaborate with operators, engineers, and managers across various disciplines, playing a vital part in bringing this pioneering renewable fuels facility to life and making a tangible impact on the planet.
  • • The project involves the construction of the main facility, associated pipelines, and temporary work areas, all managed under strict safety and environmental protocols. Your leadership in project controls will ensure that financial rigor supports these operational and construction activities effectively.
  • • You will be expected to embrace change and actively contribute to building and scaling SkyNRG's business in a rapidly evolving industry. Your comfort in an entrepreneurial setting, coupled with your drive for ownership, will be essential as you navigate and thrive in a developing project environment.
