- • As Director, Reporting and Technical Accounting at Covetrus, you will lead the technical accounting, consolidation, and reporting functions critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements for a global animal-health technology leader. This role is pivotal in supporting the company’s mission to empower veterinary practices through integrated products, services, and technology, directly impacting financial transparency and strategic decision-making.
- • Day to day, you will oversee the planning and execution of quarterly and annual financial statement consolidations, manage accounting activities for corporate and holding entities, lead technical research on emerging accounting standards, advise on M&A transactions and contract accounting implications, develop and maintain global accounting policies, partner with controllers and cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, FP&A) on business initiatives, and manage the external audit process while driving process improvements and ad hoc analyses.

You will develop leadership, stakeholder management, and change-driving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, positioning yourself as a trusted technical advisor within the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- • CPA required; MBA preferred
- • 10+ years of accounting experience, with 5+ years in a Big 4 firm preferred
- • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SEC filing requirements, financial reporting, and internal controls
- • Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive change with senior stakeholders and executives
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex accounting issues to finance and non-finance audiences
