• • As the Director of Security at Jasper, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the company's comprehensive security strategy, ensuring the robust protection of our cutting-edge AI marketing platform, invaluable customer data, and the company's overall integrity. This pivotal role demands a leader who can adeptly navigate the complexities of rigorous compliance standards while maintaining the agility essential for a rapidly expanding technology enterprise.
• • You will lead a dedicated, high-impact security team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive threat mitigation. Your leadership will extend to serving as the primary security representative for our most critical enterprise clients, building and reinforcing trust through transparent and expert communication.
• • This position transcends mere asset protection; it is about empowering the business to innovate and operate at speed, with confidence and safety. You will be responsible for evaluating risks with a nuanced perspective, understanding the delicate balance between business objectives and security imperatives, and cultivating a secure environment that fosters trust within our global community.
• • You will own the strategic vision and tactical execution of Jasper’s security program. This involves defining clear objectives, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness, and championing a mindset of ongoing enhancement and adaptation to evolving threat landscapes.
• • A core responsibility will be to oversee and guide best practices in product security. You will collaborate intimately with our engineering teams, embedding security considerations seamlessly throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). This includes leading comprehensive security reviews, conducting thorough threat modeling exercises, and ensuring that the design and development of Jasper’s products and features adhere to the highest security standards.
• • You will partner closely with executive leadership and engineering management to conduct pragmatic risk assessments. Your objective will be to identify and implement "yes, but safely" solutions, enabling the business to pursue innovative initiatives while effectively managing and mitigating potential exposures.
• • Evaluating organizational risks will be a key function, involving the prioritization of remediation efforts based on their potential real-world impact. You will also be empowered to accept risks and exceptions on behalf of the business, facilitating informed, risk-based decision-making processes.
• • You will lead the entire incident response life cycle, ensuring that Jasper possesses robust detection capabilities, rapid and effective response mechanisms, and clear, concise communication protocols for all security incidents.
• • Acting as the primary escalation point for complex customer security inquiries will be crucial for maintaining sales velocity and deal integrity. You will proactively engage in discussions with prospective and current enterprise customers, providing detailed insights into Jasper's security practices and reassuring them of our commitment to data protection.
• • Mentoring and guiding your direct reports will be a significant aspect of your role. You will foster an environment that encourages continuous learning, promotes accountability, and supports the professional growth and development of each team member.
• • This fully remote position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and is open to candidates located anywhere within the continental United States, offering a unique opportunity to influence the security posture of a leading AI company from anywhere in the country.
