- • This Director of Strategic Account Management role leads and develops a team of Account Executives to drive client-specific business plans focused on client goals, performance expectations, membership growth, and profitability, ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards for both internal and external customers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direction and management over the Account Executive team, monitoring product and service quality, training new staff, coaching existing team members, optimizing sustainable growth and profitability, developing and maintaining executive-level client relationships, utilizing financial and pricing models to analyze business and clinical scenarios, researching market trends and competitive practices, monitoring client service continuum, resolving escalated issues, collaborating with leaders in Operations, IT, Health Services, and other Directors, and performing 360-degree performance reviews on accounts.

- • In this role, the individual will develop advanced strategic account management expertise, strengthen leadership and coaching abilities, deepen knowledge of healthcare products, contracts, and pharmacy benefits management, enhance consultative selling and negotiation skills, and gain experience collaborating across enterprise functions to drive client success and organizational growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with at least eight (8) years leading individual contributors, leaders, and leaders of leaders.
- • Proven experience in the Self-Insured benefits arena, preferably with Employers, private label PBMs, Coalitions, or related entities.
- • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office/Outlook and client databases.
- • Working knowledge of the health benefits arena, government prescription programs, and pharmacy benefits management (PBM), with preferred knowledge of healthcare products and contracts.
- • Demonstrated consultative selling and negotiation skills, strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion abilities, and experience creating and delivering client presentations.
- • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions in various formats, calculate financial figures (discounts, interest, commissions, percentages), and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
