  • • Drive net-new GPO member acquisition by selling Premier’s group purchasing organization solutions exclusively to high-value senior living and inpatient behavioral health organizations
  • • Identify, target, and pursue enterprise-level healthcare systems with centralized purchasing authority to establish new strategic partnerships
  • • Lead full sales lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and closure, with no post-close account management responsibilities
  • • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders (CEO, CFO, COO) and clinical/supply chain decision-makers in target sectors
  • • Develop and deliver consultative presentations that articulate Premier’s value proposition, financial impact, and operational outcomes tailored to senior living and behavioral health markets
  • • Position Premier as a long-term strategic partner by aligning GPO solutions with organizational priorities in healthcare economics, contracting, and performance improvement
  • • Proactively manage pipeline opportunities, remove sales barriers, and resolve internal or external obstacles to advance deals through the sales cycle
  • • Represent Premier at industry conferences, executive forums, and tradeshows to generate new business leads and expand market presence
  • • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Membership, Operations, Legal, and Analytics to design compelling value propositions and support deal execution
  • • Maintain accurate and timely CRM data for opportunity tracking, pipeline forecasting, and revenue reporting
  • • Provide regular internal updates on deal progression, revenue outlook, and market intelligence to leadership and sales operations
  • • Ensure strict adherence to Premier’s sales processes, compliance standards, and documentation requirements
  • • Operate computer systems and software to manage sales activities, communications, and reporting
  • • Communicate effectively with prospects and internal stakeholders via in-person, virtual, and electronic formats
  • • Travel 41-60% within the United States to meet with prospects, attend industry events, and support sales initiatives
  • • Remain stationary for prolonged periods during virtual meetings, administrative tasks, and travel
  • • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and make independent decisions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • • Work collaboratively with peers and internal teams despite interruptions and remote work dynamics
  • • Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of sales documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7 or more years of applicable experience in new-business sales
  • • Bachelor’s degree required
  • • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding enterprise-level sales goals in long, consultative sales cycles
  • • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite and senior-level executives
  • • Experience selling GPO solutions, value-based purchasing, or GPO-adjacent services in healthcare
  • • Direct experience selling to senior living, inpatient behavioral health, or related healthcare sectors at the enterprise level
