  • • You will manage and oversee the accurate and timely filing of U.S. and Canada federal and state income tax returns, encompassing both corporate and partnership structures, with the assistance of external tax advisors.
  • • This role involves coordinating the quarterly and annual tax provision processes (ASC 740), including detailed analysis of deferred tax assets and liabilities, and ensuring accurate financial statement disclosures.
  • • You will provide critical tax expertise and support for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), the launch of new products, and strategic market expansions, ensuring tax implications are thoroughly understood and managed.
  • • A key objective is to establish and maintain robust internal controls and comprehensive documentation to substantiate all tax positions taken by the company.
  • • You will be responsible for cultivating and managing strong, collaborative relationships with external tax advisors, independent auditors, and relevant regulatory agencies.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field; CPA highly preferred.
  • • Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience, gained through public accounting and/or in-house corporate tax roles.
  • • Deep understanding of U.S. indirect taxation, including specific experience with marketplace facilitator laws and the nuances of fintech products.
  • • Solid knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • • Familiarity with ASC 740 (Income Tax Accounting) principles and application.
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tax issues and projects effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
