- • The Director, Teamship Business Partnerships role at College Board is critical to scaling the Teamship program, which connects students with real-world business challenges to build durable skills like collaboration, communication, and problem solving—skills that technology cannot replace. This role drives the expansion of work-based learning opportunities by growing and managing a national network of business partners who volunteer to engage with student teams.
- • Day to day, the Director will build and convert a strong pipeline of prospective business partners (40% of focus), ensuring alignment with program needs through targeted outreach, compelling messaging, and trust-building with diverse business leaders. They will manage the end-to-end partner lifecycle, from initial contact to confirmed participation, while maintaining timely, professional communication to sustain momentum and reduce friction.
- • The Director will deliver high-quality matches between businesses and Teamship programs (40% of focus), ensuring partners are onboarded, scheduled, and supported for seamless program delivery. This includes scoping authentic business challenges for student teams, maintaining accurate tracking systems, and optimizing workflows to support scalability as program volume grows.
- • The Director will drive operational improvements and program scalability (20% of focus) by collaborating with senior leadership to enhance stakeholder experience and process efficiency. They will translate day-to-day insights into improvement opportunities, design and lead pilot projects to test solutions using data and feedback, and work with the Teamship team to roll out new systems with strong adoption and smooth transitions.
- • The role sits within College Board’s Strategy Team, which recently acquired Teamship (formerly District C) as its first programmatic acquisition in over 20 years. College Board is a mission-driven, nonprofit organization serving 7 million students annually, committed to expanding access to higher education and career readiness. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a bold initiative that bridges K–12, higher education, and the workforce through innovative, experience-based learning.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in partnership development, program operations, and scalable impact design within the education and workforce development space. They will strengthen their ability to navigate ambiguity, drive results in mission-focused environments, and lead cross-functional initiatives that create measurable outcomes for students, educators, and employer partners.
