📋 Description

• As a Distinguished Engineer at Allstate, you will serve as an industry leader in software-enabled security, leveraging AI to accelerate innovation and strengthen cybersecurity practices across the enterprise.
• You will pioneer solutions to complex, cross-organizational enterprise problems by breaking them into deliverable components, integrating AI and third-party tools for speed and quality, and ensuring continuity across multiple engineering efforts.
• You will grow engineering talent across organizational boundaries while staying at the cutting edge of technology, influencing teams through technical leadership without formal supervisory duties.
• You will work within Allstate’s Cybersecurity and Controls and Technology Solutions divisions, contributing to the modernization of security practices and the adoption of AI-driven software delivery in a Fortune 100 company protecting millions of families.
• You will develop expertise in AI-augmented engineering, including LLMs, GenAI, agentic systems, and AI-powered code assistants, while advancing secure, observable, and automated software pipelines across multi-cloud environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Industry expert in software-driven security practices including data monitoring, observability, CI/CD gating, IAM, messaging security, and multi-cloud security across containers and VMs.
• Proven expertise in leveraging AI for software delivery, including LLMs, GenAI, chatbots, Model Context Protocol, AI-based code assistants, and agentic access systems.
• Preferred technology experience: full-stack engineering (Java, React/Angular), CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code (Terraform), API gateways (Apigee), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data lakes (Snowflake), observability stacks (Datadog, Splunk, ELK), and advanced IAM (Entra/AD, ReBAC/Zanzibar).
• Demonstrated soft skills in executive communications, team leadership, mentoring, cross-organizational collaboration, public speaking, and external vendor management.
