- • Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across platforms using Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
- • Optimize existing functionality to improve performance metrics such as faster loading times and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and enhancing core algorithms.
- • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs using Kotlin as the primary development language.
- • Design and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across all platforms, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- • Work at the intersection of product and infrastructure, translating user needs into technical solutions that enhance accessibility and learning efficiency.
- • Prioritize simplicity in system design, believing that clear, well-structured APIs and minimalistic architectures deliver superior user experiences.
- • Balance speed and focus in a high-growth startup environment, knowing when to engage collaboratively and when to work independently with deep concentration.
- • Partner with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers to inspire, negotiate, and align on technical direction while maintaining product vision.

- • Proficiency in Kotlin, with experience in Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development

- • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments with remote teams
- • Proven collaboration skills with product, design, and marketing teams to align technical execution with user needs
