  • • Recruit, onboard, coach, and continuously develop the Oncology Medical Representative team to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals.
  • • Set individual and team KPIs and monitor performance through regular joint field visits and structured evaluations to drive accountability and improvement.
  • • Identify training gaps and implement personalized development plans to support talent growth and succession planning within the oncology team.
  • • Design and implement the district business plan in full alignment with national brand strategy and oncology portfolio priorities.
  • • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities across key accounts including oncology/hematology hospital departments, radiotherapy centers, and outpatient clinics.
  • • Analyze market data, sales trends, and competitive indicators to adapt promotional tactics and optimize commercial outcomes.
  • • Manage the district operational budget with full accountability, transparency, and adherence to financial controls.
  • • Build and maintain strategic relationships with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals across the assigned territory.
  • • Coordinate medical and commercial activities across reference hospitals and oncology centers to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • • Partner with the Medical Affairs team to organize symposia, clinical data presentations, and educational events that support scientific engagement.
  • • Ensure full compliance with Lilly’s internal policies, Code of Conduct, and all applicable local and European pharmaceutical regulations.
  • • Oversee all team promotional activities to guarantee adherence to approved materials and advertising legislation.
  • • Drive an entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset to achieve commercial objectives while maintaining ethical standards.
  • • Utilize CRM systems and digital/omnichannel tools to enhance field effectiveness and data-driven decision-making.
  • • Support talent development and succession planning to build a sustainable, high-performing oncology sales team.
  • • Travel extensively (approximately 90% field-based) to engage with healthcare professionals and oversee team activities across Romania.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology: cancer types, mechanisms of action, treatment modalities, and current ESMO/NCCN guidelines.
  • • Demonstrate authentic leadership by motivating, inspiring, and developing a high-performing, compliant, and customer-focused team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • • Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 2 years in oncology or related specialties
  • • Strong knowledge of the Romanian hospital environment and oncology ecosystem
  • • Solid understanding of oncology: cancer types, mechanisms of action, treatment modalities, ESMO/NCCN guidelines
  • • Native Romanian; advanced English (written and spoken)
  • • Valid category B driving license; willingness to travel extensively (~90% field-based)
