Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Build and own Fluidstack’s early careers function from scratch, designing strategy, infrastructure, and running full-cycle recruiting for intern and new graduate roles across technical and non-technical teams.
  • • Develop and execute a university recruiting strategy by identifying target schools, building relationships with faculty and student organizations, and establishing Fluidstack’s brand on campuses where top early-career talent is concentrated.
  • • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and TA Ops to co-design internship and new graduate programs, and own their adoption and embedding across the business.
  • • Plan and execute on-campus and virtual recruiting events focused on early engagement, education, and brand building to make Fluidstack a sought-after employer among ambitious students.
  • • Screen candidates with a high bar, assessing potential, intellectual horsepower, and mission alignment rather than just credentials or GPA.
  • • Operate as a data-driven function by tracking pipeline health, conversion rates, offer acceptance, and source quality to continuously refine strategy and report insights to leadership.
  • • Design sustainable hiring infrastructure including evaluation rubrics, assessment frameworks, and program playbooks to create a long-term funnel of exceptional early talent.
  • • Conduct research to identify top U.S. academic programs and specific departments aligned with Fluidstack’s needs, then develop targeted engagement programs for both intern and full-time opportunities.
  • • Drive velocity and ownership by operating with full autonomy, often expanding scope beyond core responsibilities to ensure program success.
  • • Embrace first-principles thinking by challenging assumptions and prioritizing the best ideas over tradition or precedent.
  • • Maintain a long-term perspective by designing programs that compound over time—focusing on brand, relationships, and pipelines rather than short-term hiring needs.
  • • Travel during peak recruiting cycles to engage with universities, attend career fairs, and represent Fluidstack at campus events.
  • • Use data to measure what matters: intern-to-FTE conversion rates, source quality, pipeline efficiency, and offer acceptance rates to inform strategic decisions.
  • • Write playbooks and systems from scratch, without relying on existing templates, to create scalable, repeatable processes for early talent acquisition.
  • • Act as a builder who thrives in ambiguity, creating structure where none exists to support Fluidstack’s rapid scaling and mission-driven growth.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Built or significantly scaled a university recruiting program with measurable outcomes such as schools entered, pipeline growth, or improved conversion rates.
  • • Think in programs, not requisitions, designing long-term brand, relationship, and pipeline strategies that compound over time.
  • • Hold an uncompromising bar for early talent, evaluating potential and mission alignment over traditional metrics like GPA.
  • • Are a builder who creates structure from ambiguity, writing playbooks and systems without needing pre-existing templates.
  • • Measure and act on key metrics including pipeline conversion, source quality, and intern-to-FTE conversion to drive decision-making.
  • • Bonus: Experience recruiting in AI, infrastructure, or deep-technical markets; experience building early careers programs at high-growth or zero-to-one companies; expertise in campus employer brand strategy.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive total compensation package including salary and equity.
  • • Retirement or pension plan aligned with local norms.
  • • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • • Generous PTO policy aligned with local norms.
  • • Salary range of $170,000–$250,000 per year, with equity in the form of stock options.
  • • Willingness to travel during peak recruiting cycles.
