- • The EDI/Data Senior Specialist at Brown & Brown Insurance plays a critical role in enabling seamless, automated benefits enrollment and healthcare compliance solutions for customers by managing end-to-end EDI processes and data integrity within the National Employee Benefits Technology (EBTech) Department. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by ensuring accurate data flows between employer systems, insurance carriers, and benefits platforms.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include auditing and uploading complex customer data for new or existing website implementations; creating and configuring EDI files using third-party software in alignment with SOPs; conducting final testing and audits of EDI configurations for low to moderate complexity tasks, including peer work; providing guidance on SOP development and process improvements; building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, and carriers to enhance retention; delivering direct and indirect support to assigned customers; maintaining current knowledge of health and benefits products to ensure proper software configuration; mentoring and training EDI/Data Analysts and Senior Analysts; serving as a subject matter expert in customer meetings; participating in ongoing training on industry trends, legislation, and technology; pursuing personal and professional development; and upholding department policies, including licensing requirements.

They will gain exposure to complex insurance ecosystems, refine process improvement skills, and position themselves for advancement into senior technical or analytical roles within EBT or broader enterprise technology teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-6 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in insurance, human resources, or financial sectors
- • 3-4 years of experience with employee data file manipulation and EDI file development
- • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and personal computer database applications
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- • Exceptional telephone demeanor and professional problem-solving approach
- • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
- • Ability to obtain Life and Health Insurance licensure
