- • The EDI Implementation Analyst role at Availity is critical to ensuring accurate and reliable claims data flow through the platform by managing complex configuration changes for health plan partners, directly supporting the company’s mission to improve healthcare engagement and patient care.
- • Day to day, the analyst will manage and execute change request tickets from health plan partners using JIRA, analyze and validate business requirements, configure receiver configurations via Availity’s EPDM tool, coordinate with development teams for code-level updates, serve as a key point of contact for connectivity and data issues, perform functional testing, support production releases, and collaborate with internal teams such as Health Plan Analysts, Account Management, and Payment Accuracy.

- • In this role, the analyst will deepen expertise in healthcare EDI standards (X12, HL7, HIPAA), gain hands-on experience with production release cycles and change management, strengthen cross-functional collaboration and troubleshooting skills, and grow into a trusted technical advisor for health plan integrations while contributing to a company recognized as a 'Great Place to Work'.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 4 years related experience in a technology (information exchange) and/or health care environment
- • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- • Understanding of HIPAA implementation guides for claim and other transactions and knowledge of the health care industry HIPAA mandated ANSI transaction formats
- • Working knowledge of the X12 transactions specifically 837P, 837I, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, CCR/CCD, and HL7 transaction sets
- • Ability to analyze, interpret, and validate business requirements, not just execute instructions
- • Ability to collaborate with external partners and internal teams including production support and information technology
