📋 Description

  • The EHS Leader North East role at Carrier Global Corporation is critical to ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance across multiple European countries, directly supporting the company’s mission to protect people, stakeholders, and the environment through sustainable and innovative solutions.
  • Day to day, the role involves leading occupational health, safety, and environmental initiatives; developing and implementing EHS plans aligned with business strategy; conducting safety audits and investigations; managing subcontractor safety performance; leading EHS training programs; and providing guidance to operational management on incident prevention, with regular travel required across Europe to visit job sites and depot locations.
  • The role sits within Carrier’s Corporate Safety and Environment (CSE) organization, reporting to the CSE EHS Aftermarket and Service Director, and supports the integration and oversight of EHS for the Viessmann business across field service, sales, and business support functions in Poland, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
  • In this role, the individual will develop strategic EHS initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, drive cultural change around safety, gain deep expertise in multinational regulatory environments, and advance leadership capabilities in matrixed organizations while contributing to Carrier’s sustainability and safety excellence goals.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Engineering, or a relevant scientific/technical field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive EHS work experience, preferably in field service operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change, and work effectively in a matrix environment influencing diverse stakeholders
