📋 Description

• • Join True Zero Technologies—an Inc. 5000, award-winning, veteran-owned small business—as a full-time, 100 % remote Elastic Certified Engineer. You will become the go-to authority for enterprise-scale Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana implementations that power mission-critical analytics for federal agencies and Fortune-class commercial clients.
• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of multi-node Elasticsearch clusters: architecture, sizing, provisioning, tuning, and day-to-day health monitoring. You will design hot-warm-cold tiering strategies, craft index lifecycle policies, and continuously optimize shard allocation to guarantee sub-second query performance across billions of events.
• • Spearhead data onboarding initiatives using Logstash, Beats, and custom ingest pipelines. Translate raw syslog, JSON, CSV, XML, and binary feeds into normalized, searchable documents while applying field mapping, enrichment, and transformation rules that adhere to strict governance and compliance standards.
• • Develop rich Kibana dashboards, Canvas workpads, and Lens visualizations that turn complex security, infrastructure, and business telemetry into intuitive, actionable insights for executives, SOC analysts, and DevOps teams. You will also build alerting rules and machine-learning jobs to proactively surface anomalies.
• • Serve as the primary escalation point for troubleshooting cluster issues—diagnosing node failures, circuit-breaker exceptions, mapping conflicts, and query latency spikes—then document root-cause analyses and preventive measures in Confluence to expand our internal knowledge base.
• • Collaborate daily with cross-functional squads in an Agile/DevOps environment. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and CI/CD pipelines that automate the deployment of Elastic configurations via GitLab, Ansible, and SaltStack, ensuring repeatable, auditable infrastructure as code.
• • Provide Tier-3 support to SOC and NOC teams, translating user stories into technical requirements, managing customer expectations, and tracking scope to keep every engagement on time and on budget. Your clear, concise documentation and run-books will empower junior admins and analysts.
• • Contribute thought leadership by authoring white papers, internal webinars, and blog posts that showcase advanced Elastic patterns—such as searchable snapshots, cross-cluster replication, and runtime fields—earning contribution incentives and strengthening True Zero’s reputation in the federal market.
• • Leverage our internal Slack community, lab environments, and sandbox clusters to test new Elastic features, replicate customer issues, and mentor teammates. You will also guide less-experienced engineers toward Elastic certifications, multiplying the collective expertise of the practice.
• • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies—Cribl, OpenTelemetry, cloud-native deployments on ECK, serverless architectures—to future-proof our Elastic offerings and maintain True Zero’s position at the forefront of data analytics innovation.
