📋 Description
- • Join Devoted Health’s People team as an Employee Relations Specialist to manage the full scope of employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, policy compliance, and corrective action administration, ensuring a fair, respectful, and productive workplace aligned with the company’s mission-driven culture.
- • Act as a trusted subject matter expert who balances organizational policy with empathetic communication to resolve sensitive employee issues, drive process consistency with HR Business Partners, and uphold Devoted Health’s commitment to equity, dignity, and inclusion across all client groups.
- • Independently lead and facilitate complex disciplinary conversations, including performance improvement plans and formal warnings, while maintaining meticulous documentation and ensuring policy compliance through empathetic, solution-focused dialogue.
- • Partner deeply with leaders to assess departmental cultures, provide proactive guidance on employee engagement, and recommend process improvements that prevent escalation and strengthen team dynamics.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leadership within assigned client groups for all ER-related inquiries, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and accommodation requests, delivering timely, consistent, and confidential support.
- • Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into employee concerns, from intake to resolution, ensuring factual accuracy, legal compliance, and proper follow-up, while partnering with Benefits and Legal teams on reasonable accommodations and ADA/interactive process matters.
- • Facilitate engaging training sessions for people managers to build foundational ER competencies, including conflict navigation, feedback delivery, and inclusive leadership practices, fostering a culture of accountability and psychological safety.
- • Collaborate with HRBPs to standardize ER processes across teams, ensuring fairness, consistency, and scalability as Devoted Health grows, while identifying trends to inform proactive HR strategy and policy refinement.
- • Champion Devoted Health’s mission to treat employees like family by modeling integrity, discretion, and compassion in every interaction, reinforcing a workplace where all individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to contribute.
- • Develop expertise in navigating complex ER scenarios in a fast-paced, high-growth healthcare environment, gaining deep exposure to federal and state employment laws, Workday HRIS, and innovative total rewards practices that support employee well-being.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with leaders to influence decision-making and improve departmental climate through credible, empathetic ER partnership.
- • High degree of comfort and resilience in navigating difficult, face-to-face disciplinary conversations and complex conflict resolution scenarios with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to identify root causes, manage end-to-end ER projects independently, and drive sustainable solutions.
- • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement across diverse personality types, job levels, and cultural backgrounds in a remote-first environment.
- • Demonstrated history of exemplary ethics, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential employee matters, including investigations, accommodations, and disciplinary actions.
- • Approximately 3+ years of relevant HR experience with a heavy focus on employee relations, preferably in a high-growth organization with a non-exempt workforce.
