• • Employment & Corporate Governance Counsel at Function Health Inc. is a critical legal role responsible for ensuring the company maintains best-in-class employment practices and corporate governance as it scales rapidly in the digital health space. This position directly supports the People team, leadership, and external advisors to uphold compliance, mitigate risk, and enable sustainable growth aligned with Function’s mission to empower people to live 100 healthy years.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing counsel on hiring, performance management, compensation, accommodations, investigations, leaves of absence, and policy development; drafting and maintaining multi-state employee handbooks and policies; managing internal workplace investigations; collaborating with external counsel on employment litigation or regulatory matters; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; supporting the General Counsel with board and committee materials, governance calendars, and corporate formalities; maintaining corporate records, equity documentation, and entity management across jurisdictions; drafting and reviewing governance-related policies, charters, and internal documents; and assisting with fundraising, investor relations, and due diligence efforts as needed.
