📋 Description

• • As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert - Africa, you will be the accountable expert for payroll compliance in your jurisdiction, ensuring local legislation is correctly interpreted, documented, and implemented across Remote’s global payroll platform.
• • Day to day, you will translate statutory rules into product requirements, lead audits and investigations, design scalable compliance processes, mentor internal teams, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Support to embed compliance into decision-making.
• • You will join Remote’s Payroll Strategy and Compliance team, a globally distributed group focused on building compliant, automated payroll systems at scale, operating asynchronously across continents with a mission to enable businesses to hire and pay international teams compliantly.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in global payroll compliance, influence product design with regulatory insight, lead high-impact audit and incident resolution initiatives, and grow as a systems thinker and mentor shaping Remote’s compliance capability across Africa and beyond.
