Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • PAR Technology Corporation, a distinguished leader in restaurant technology for over four decades, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engagement Cloud Project Manager to spearhead the successful deployment of large-scale, enterprise restaurant technology solutions. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial kickoff through successful go-live and post-implementation stabilization, ensuring unparalleled delivery excellence. You will be the central orchestrator, driving seamless execution across a diverse range of internal teams including Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and external partners such as third-party vendors and, crucially, our valued customer stakeholders.
  • As the primary point of accountability, you will meticulously manage all facets of project delivery, including defining and controlling project scope, adhering to strict timelines, managing budgets effectively, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining clear, consistent communication with executive leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a commanding executive presence, a deeply ingrained discipline in project governance, and the adeptness to influence and guide cross-functional teams, even without direct reporting authority, within complex, matrixed organizational structures.
  • This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into actionable project plans and functional solution documentation. You will be instrumental in facilitating customer workshops, a critical step in gathering detailed requirements, validating proposed solutions, and ensuring alignment between PAR's offerings and customer needs. Your ability to manage scope effectively, including navigating change control processes and discussing commercial impacts, will be paramount to project success and client satisfaction.
  • A key responsibility will be to provide clear, concise, and executive-ready status reporting and dashboards, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project progress, potential roadblocks, and key decisions. You will be expected to proactively identify and manage escalations, driving them to swift and effective resolution. Furthermore, you will serve as the crucial 'voice of the customer' internally, providing invaluable feedback that influences product prioritization, process improvements, and the overall enhancement of PAR's Engagement Cloud offerings.
  • The Engagement Cloud Project Manager will lead enterprise SaaS and hardware implementation programs, taking full ownership of the delivery process. This includes establishing and nurturing strong, collaborative executive-level partnerships with customer stakeholders, fostering trust and mutual understanding. You will be responsible for driving cross-functional alignment, ensuring that all project streams are synchronized and moving towards the common goal of on-time, within-scope delivery. This involves meticulous management of risks, interdependencies between various workstreams, key project milestones, and the critical path, often across globally distributed teams.
  • Success in this role hinges on your ability to balance the needs of the customer with the commercial realities of the business, ensuring that projects are not only technically sound and operationally efficient but also commercially viable. You will thrive in an environment that requires you to build structure and clarity within complex, often ambiguous situations, demonstrating a calm and decisive approach even under high pressure and in high-visibility scenarios. Your ability to naturally prioritize tasks and initiatives based on their potential customer value and overall business impact will be a significant asset. Ultimately, you will be a key player in ensuring PAR Technology Corporation continues to empower restaurant brands worldwide to create lasting connections with their guests through innovative and seamless technology solutions.

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise project management experience, with a strong emphasis on managing complex, multi-workstream programs.
  • 5+ years of experience specifically within the restaurant technology, hospitality tech, or complex SaaS implementation sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-workstream, cross-functional delivery programs from initiation to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with enterprise-level customers and engaging with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in risk management, scope control discipline, and change management processes.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and managing projects across different time zones and cultures.
  • PMP certification is preferred, indicating a strong foundation in project management methodologies.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
  • Remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.
