- • As a Backend Engineer on Zapier’s Enterprise Integrations team in India, you will build and maintain critical integrations that power Zapier’s product for high-value enterprise customers, directly impacting customer satisfaction and deal success.
- • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integrations using REST, OAuth, and webhook APIs; lead projects using agentic coding workflows; debug complex issues across service and agent boundaries; collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Sales teams; mentor teammates; and contribute to shared engineering infrastructure and reliability metrics.
- • You will join a highly technical, engineering-driven team that partners closely with customer-facing teams to stay ahead of enterprise needs, where AI-assisted development is central to the workflow and ownership, accountability, and customer empathy are core values.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in backend systems, AI-assisted development, enterprise integration patterns, and cross-functional collaboration, while growing into a technical leader who shapes reliability, scalability, and best practices across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep experience building and maintaining backend integrations with REST APIs, OAuth flows, and webhook-based systems.
- • Proficiency in AI-assisted, agentic development workflows, including directing and reviewing agent-written code, composing tools and skills, and ensuring correctness and maintainability.
- • Strong customer empathy and ability to translate feedback from Support, Success, and Sales into technical work that improves enterprise customer experience.
- • Proactive communication skills in an async-first culture, using written artifacts, demos, and prototypes to flag risks and keep stakeholders informed.
- • Ownership mindset: taking initiative, shipping fast, sharing early, and openly acknowledging mistakes and gaps.
- • Experience debugging complex systems across service and agent boundaries using logs, traces, and customer context to prioritize and triage issues.
