- • As an Engineer in Threat Detection at Tide Platform Limited, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s infrastructure and data by building and maintaining a proactive threat detection and response platform. This role is essential to protecting Tide’s mission of empowering SMEs with secure, innovative banking and administrative solutions across the UK, India, Germany, and France.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement custom log parsers for in-house applications, configure and tune alert rules in SIEM systems (such as Splunk, Sentinel, or similar), conduct log analysis to reduce false positives, and continuously hunt for sophisticated threats across AWS, GCP, internal applications, and employee endpoints (Windows/macOS). You will also develop security automations—like auto-removing phishing emails—and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build business-specific detection rules.
- • You will join Tide’s Security Engineering team, which operates as a unified unit across Product Security, Identity, and Threat Detection & Response, sharing standups and Slack channels to ensure alignment. The team is part of a global, diverse workforce of over 2,500 Tideans, with technology centers in Hyderabad, Gurugram, New Delhi, and offices across Europe, all committed to innovation, inclusion, and data-driven security.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud security, threat intelligence, automation (SOAR/scripting), and incident response while leading complex investigations and contributing to the strategic vision of threat detection. You’ll have opportunities to build internal tools that improve detection visibility and response efficiency, and grow as a technical leader within a mature, collaborative security function that values knowledge sharing and hands-on problem solving.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong knowledge with one of the following: Splunk, Scanner, Sentinel, or SecOps
- • Strong understanding of modern attack and defence techniques in Cloud (AWS, GCP), SaaS (Google Workspace, Okta), and desktop (Windows/macOS) environments
- • Hands-on experience in security automation, including writing scripts and creating end-to-end automated workflows, with familiarity in SOAR platforms
- • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- • Passion for sharing knowledge with colleagues and a proactive, solution-driven attitude
