📋 Description
- • Engineering Director role focused on building and scaling a high-performing team to execute Precision AQ’s Data Hub initiative, consolidating legacy data infrastructure and enabling enterprise-wide AI/ML capabilities.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading engineering operations, managing sprint delivery, driving technical excellence in architecture and code quality, serving as the primary escalation point for technical blockers, and partnering with the SVP on hiring, team development, and strategic planning.
- • Precision AQ is building a centralized Data Hub to unify fragmented data pipelines into a governed, scalable platform serving multiple business units, backed by executive sponsorship, a clear roadmap, and a mandate to enable AI/ML across the organization.
- • The role offers the opportunity to shape a function from the ground up, lead technical design and platform reliability efforts, grow a team of data, analytics, and platform engineers, and make a lasting impact on enterprise data governance and innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5/8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles
- • 3+ years leading engineering teams with accountability for hiring, performance management, and delivery
- • Direct experience with modern data stack including cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), transformation frameworks, and orchestration tools
- • Proven track record delivering complex data platform initiatives such as migrations, consolidations, or greenfield builds
- • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
- • Ability to review code, debug production issues, and make sound architectural judgments
