- • Engineering Director role focused on building and scaling a high-performing engineering team for Precision Medicine Group’s Data Hub initiative, responsible for consolidating legacy data infrastructure and enabling AI/ML capabilities across the organization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning engineering operations (sprint delivery, technical quality, capacity planning), driving technical excellence (architecture, code quality, DevOps/GitOps), serving as primary escalation point for technical blockers, and partnering with SVP on hiring, team development, and strategic planning.
- • The team is part of Precision AQ, building a centralized Data Hub to establish enterprise data foundation and governance, with executive sponsorship and a clear roadmap to consolidate fragmented data pipelines into a governed, scalable platform serving multiple business units.
- • The role offers the opportunity to shape a function from strategy to execution, lead technical design reviews, enforce engineering standards, ensure production reliability, and grow as a hands-on engineering leader in a regulated, compliance-sensitive environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5/8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles
- • 3+ years leading engineering teams with accountability for hiring, performance management, and delivery
- • Direct experience with modern data stack including cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), transformation frameworks, and orchestration tools
- • Track record of delivering complex data platform initiatives such as migrations, consolidations, or greenfield builds
- • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
- • Ability to review code, debug production issues, and make sound architectural judgments
