📋 Description

• As Engineering Lead - Payments at vivenu GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and extending the payments platform to support rapidly growing transaction volumes and global expansion, ensuring reliability and technical excellence in a high-stakes fintech-adjacent environment.
• Day to day, you will lead the technical design, development, and integration of sophisticated payment solutions across 15+ payment systems, manage complex financial data flows, and drive architectural improvements to handle over 1 billion monthly requests while maintaining performance and flexibility.
• You will join a global leader in event ticketing tech with offices worldwide, backed by over $65 million in funding, serving prestigious clients like the Grammys, Golden Globes, Stanford University, and Hockenheimring, where innovation in live entertainment technology directly impacts customer experience and business growth.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable payment systems, financial data engineering, and cross-system integration, while developing leadership skills by guiding technical execution and influencing the evolution of a critical platform used by millions of end users annually.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical initiatives in payments, fintech, or high-volume transaction systems
• Strong background in building and integrating with multiple payment gateways and financial APIs
• Expertise in designing scalable, reliable systems capable of handling high-throughput workloads (e.g., 1B+ monthly requests)
• Experience with API-first platforms and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of financial data flows, security, and compliance in payment processing
• Ability to drive technical excellence and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
