- • Join Cents as an Engineering Lead (Revenue) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing vertical SaaS company that is revolutionizing the $40 billion laundry industry. You will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and operational efficiency by leading a talented team of full-stack engineers and contributing hands-on to the development of critical revenue-generating systems.
- • In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineering leadership and the Revenue Product Manager to define, scope, and execute high-impact projects. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding a team composed of in-house leads and overseas developers, ensuring they deliver exceptional quality and meet ambitious goals. A significant aspect of your role will involve hands-on coding, with an expected 50/50 split between leadership responsibilities and technical execution, allowing you to stay deeply connected to the product.
- • You will own the backend development for a suite of internal tools and platform capabilities that are vital to the success of our Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams. This includes designing, building, deploying, and maintaining highly resilient and scalable systems that underpin key business functions such as customer lifecycle visibility, activation workflows, sophisticated billing and pricing systems, and expansion upsell tooling.
- • A core focus will be on building and optimizing systems that automate manual or fragmented internal processes. By enhancing team efficiency and accelerating time-to-insight, you will directly contribute to Cents' ability to scale and maintain its competitive edge. Your work will empower our internal teams with the tools and data they need to operate more effectively and make smarter business decisions.
- • Beyond technical delivery, you will be a key player in the growth and development of your engineering team. This involves providing mentorship, facilitating training, and conducting performance management to foster a high-performing and motivated engineering culture. You will champion best practices in software development, code quality, and system architecture.
- • Driving cross-team collaboration and knowledge-sharing is essential. You will work to break down silos between engineering and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on strategic objectives. This collaborative approach extends to ensuring seamless data integration across all internal systems, including CRM, billing platforms, and the core Cents product, providing a unified view of business operations.
- • Partnering with our Design team, you will contribute to the creation of intuitive internal-facing interfaces. These interfaces are designed to increase adoption, improve onboarding processes for new team members, and drive greater transparency across all departments, making it easier for everyone to understand and leverage Cents' platform capabilities.

- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of backend frameworks, particularly Node.js, and have extensive experience in building robust, scalable, and maintainable applications. Proficiency in TypeScript for both backend and frontend development is highly valued. A proven track record of building internal tools, admin systems, or operational platforms that directly support GTM or revenue operations is a must.
- • Demonstrable systems thinking skills are crucial, as you'll need to understand how internal tools fit into the broader ecosystem connecting customers, operations, and product. A strong background in API design and integration, with a clear understanding of what constitutes 'good' API strategy, will enable you to drive platform connectivity effectively. Experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, EC2, RDS) and cloud-based backend architectures is expected, alongside a deep understanding of data integration and synchronization, particularly when connecting CRM, billing, and product systems.
- • You should be comfortable working with both PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Redis). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills are paramount. Fluency in verbal and written English is required, as is a genuine passion for learning and coaching others. A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in our team-oriented environment.
- • We are looking for someone who can clearly articulate their opinions on product design while respecting the perspectives of their peers. Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both engineers and non-engineering stakeholders is a key requirement. This role is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work model (3 days in office), but remote candidates will be considered.

- • 5+ years of experience building business- and consumer-facing applications.
- • Expert-level knowledge of backend frameworks, specifically Node.js (Laravel experience a plus).
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React) development.
- • Experience building internal tools, admin systems, or operational platforms that support GTM or revenue operations.
- • Demonstrable systems thinking skills and a strong background in API design and integration.
- • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, EC2, RDS) and cloud-based backend architectures.
- • Deep understanding of data integration and synchronization, especially when connecting CRM, billing, and product systems.
