📋 Description
- • Lead the Compute Team responsible for the core compute platform that powers all backend services, ensuring scalable, reliable infrastructure for applications and automation.
- • Mentor and grow a high-performing team of ~8 software engineers, combining leadership with hands-on coding (~50%) on production-grade systems.
- • Drive architectural direction for cloud-native compute services with focus on reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
- • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Backend teams to align priorities and ensure seamless integration of platform capabilities.
- • Foster engineering excellence through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, technical coaching, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- • Translate strategic objectives into execution plans, influencing platform evolution with pragmatic technical decisions.
- • Work remotely within EMEA time zone, contributing to a modern, high-scale platform using cutting-edge cloud technologies.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership or engineering management
- • Strong expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch)
- • Solid experience building distributed backend systems with Golang
- • Proven track record in infrastructure, platform engineering, compute orchestration, reliability, and observability
- • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy)
- • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK)
