📋 Description

• Lead a team of software engineers to build, scale, and operate high-quality software systems that deliver meaningful value to customers and the business.
• Create an environment where engineers can do their best work by balancing execution, technical excellence, and long-term sustainability.
• Serve as the primary people manager for engineers across levels, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Own delivery planning and execution for engineering initiatives, including risk identification, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
• Drive developer velocity by governing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines, shortening feedback loops, streamlining releases, and reducing engineering toil.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering work with product strategy and customer outcomes.
• Set and evolve team-level technical direction in alignment with broader architectural goals and business priorities.
• Establish and promote healthy engineering practices focused on ownership, code quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
• Build and sustain a strong feedback culture that encourages accountability, learning, and iterative growth.
• Ensure engineering output is well-designed, reliable, and directly tied to measurable customer and business impact.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into well-executed technical initiatives.
• Remove organizational and technical obstacles that impede team productivity and innovation.
• Maintain alignment between engineering deliverables and the company’s mission to empower enterprise retailers with unified retail media orchestration.
• Support the growth of Vantage’s SaaS platform by fostering scalable, automated, and maintainable software systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of technical architecture while ensuring systems remain robust, secure, and performant under scale.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the engineering team through inclusive leadership practices and equitable opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years managing software engineering teams
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and deliver customer-impacting product initiatives
• Track record of hiring, mentoring, and performance-managing engineers across levels
• 7+ years total engineering experience working with Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
• Experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL, Postgres, and Django
