- • As an Engineering Manager at College Board, you will lead teams responsible for foundational platform capabilities within the Core Assessment Platform, driving technical excellence and team performance in a mission-critical environment that supports education programs used by millions of students annually.
- • Day to day, you will provide technical leadership by reviewing and writing code in TypeScript, React, and NodeJS, crafting technology strategy with product and design partners, managing technical debt, optimizing application cost and performance, and ensuring security-sensitive feature development.
- • You will build and nurture a high-performing, inclusive team by defining Agile ceremonies, cultivating team superpowers, supporting diversity and inclusion, managing work culture aligned with College Board’s mission, and investing in team member growth.
- • You will interface with business and technology partners by developing deep understanding of business needs, managing scope with product owners, providing subject matter expertise, and collaborating across engineering, product, design, data, and operations to deliver valuable work first.
- • The Core Assessment Platform team at College Board is a mission-driven engineering group building scalable, secure, and reliable systems that power trusted education programs, operating as an experiment factory that iterates based on evidence, combining cloud-native practices with platform modernization and security hardening.
- • In this role, you will grow as a technical and people leader by shaping mission-critical systems, upholding high technical standards, making data-informed decisions under uncertainty, and fostering an environment where engineers learn, experiment, and do their best work while contributing to meaningful public impact.
