- • Manage and coach a team of up to 5 software engineers, fostering career growth and technical excellence in a hybrid IC/manager role.
- • Contribute up to 50% of time to hands-on coding, maintaining direct involvement in the development of AI-driven document ingestion and data extraction systems.
- • Develop and deliver high-quality code in an agile environment using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and flexible pair programming practices.
- • Collaborate with product and design teams to shape application features that improve patient care workflows and operational efficiency.
- • Guide the engineering practice across teams to establish and improve coding standards, review processes, and delivery methodologies.
- • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure rapid resolution of critical system issues and contribute to system reliability and availability improvements.
- • Design and deploy AI-powered features that automate the ingestion and extraction of data from medical documents, reducing manual entry and accelerating HME order turnarounds.
- • Apply expertise in automated evaluation and testing of LLM-powered workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance of AI models in production.
- • Utilize LangSmith or similar observability and evaluation tools to monitor, debug, and optimize AI agent performance and prompt behavior.
- • Implement prompt engineering techniques and manage the full lifecycle of prompts used in AI-driven data extraction pipelines.
- • Leverage agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or AutoGen to build and scale multi-agent systems for complex document processing.
- • Work with AI-powered coding tools (e.g., Cursor) to enhance productivity and code quality in daily development tasks.
- • Ensure all code and systems align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards in the healthcare technology domain.
- • Maintain deep understanding of software engineering design patterns, data structures, and best practices to guide team decisions and technical architecture.
- • Support cross-functional collaboration to improve business processes through technology, particularly in post-acute care and Home Medical Equipment (HME) workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails or other open source programming languages
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environment
- • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- • Experience with automated evaluation and testing of LLM powered workflows
- • Experience with LangSmith or similar tools for observability and evaluation
- • Familiarity with prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle management
