- • Manage and coach a team of up to 5 engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence in a hybrid IC/manager role.
- • Contribute hands-on code to the engineering team, with up to 50% of time dedicated to development activities.
- • Develop software in an agile environment utilizing Test-Driven Development (TDD) and flexible pair programming practices.
- • Collaborate with product and design teams to shape application features and ensure alignment with business goals.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-grade code that supports the platform’s mission of streamlining clinical information flow for post-acute care.
- • Guide the evolution of engineering practices across teams to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues and contribute to improving system reliability and availability.
- • Work cross-functionally to design, deploy, and optimize AI-driven features that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- • Maintain deep understanding of software engineering design patterns, data structures, and clean coding principles.
- • Ensure consistent delivery of software that reduces communication friction between prescribers, payors, and Home Medical Equipment (HME) providers.
- • Support the team’s mission to eliminate outdated paper and fax processes that impact over 30 million patients annually.
- • Promote transparency in coverage policies and timely access to life-saving medical equipment through digital ordering systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails or other open source programming languages
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environment
- • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- • Must reside in the U.S.
