- • As the founding Engineering Manager for Internal Tools at Tide Platform Limited, you will lead a lean, high-impact team that serves as the vital link between core engineering and global financial and people operations, building and owning the integration layer that ensures automated, high-quality data flow from systems like Adyen, Salesforce, and Mambo into SAP, while also overseeing the Internal Tools ecosystem including Workday and Greenhouse to ensure scalable corporate infrastructure.
- • Day to day, you will act as a hands-on technical strategist and people leader—spending roughly 40% of your time contributing technically (coding in Python or Java) and 60% on team leadership, hiring engineers, planning a 12-month roadmap with stakeholders, managing third-party SAP vendors, and serving as the key technical representative for Finance across Billing, Payments, and other engineering teams, while also driving custom integrations between Workday, Greenhouse, and Okta to ensure seamless employee onboarding.

- • In this role, you will have the autonomy to build and scale a specialized team from the ground up, shape Tide’s approach to complex third-party ecosystems, gain deep exposure to fintech-scale SAP and HRIS integrations, and grow as a strategic technical leader who bridges engineering, finance, and people operations during a phase of global expansion.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong backend engineering background with proficiency in Python or Java
- • Extensive experience with complex third-party integrations and building scalable data pipelines
- • Prior experience with Workday or SAP implementations (advantageous)
- • Hands-on leadership experience with a blend of technical contribution (40%) and people/project management (60%)
- • Proven experience in building and scaling engineering teams
- • Strategic mindset and comfort acting as the technical representative for Finance, collaborating across engineering orgs (Billing, Payments, etc.)
- • Vendor management skills: experience overseeing third-party partners to ensure delivery meets high architectural and quality standards
- • Proactive problem-solver focused on resilient, future-proof solutions (e.g., revenue automation from Adyen or Salesforce)
- • Prior experience in fintech or fast-paced, high-growth environments (strong plus)
